Would Reflexology be considered a branch of Massage Therapy?

None of them are specifically saying that they offer those courses, and I’m not getting good responses through phone and chat. Most of them are saying they do offer Massage Therapy courses. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In most states reflexology is not licensed under massage therapy. You can learn it by taking seminars. Just check reflexology seminars on the web

It depends on what the licensing requirements are in your state. In many you need a massage license to do reflexology professionally as you are touching people. You should call the state board of massage and ask them if you need to be licensed as a massage therapist to do reflexology professionally. Many schools will offer short weekend workshops in it but you should really take a year long class just in reflexology if you can find it.

Reflexology is basically a scam treatment and the method by which it is alleged it works is a lie.
You’re far better doing massage therapy that is more likely to get you work, then you can just ‘learn’ reflexology from a book if you still feel the need.

No. Reflexology has achieved and maintained status, as a bodywork modality, to be lone standing in it’s aspects of applications, in different states, of the Union. A professionally trained Reflexologist, is not to be compared ,with a professionally trained Massage Therapist. At a licenced Massage School, they will touch up, on the subject of Reflexology, in a matter of a few hours, that relate to the subject matter. These people, than will go forth ,calling themselfes Reflexologist, and in the long haul, dont have a shimmer, about all the correct pressure points, let alone work up a complete health profile, in terms that are only being taught by a certified Teacher of Reflexology. No way can a Massage Therapist, compete with someone that has completed 90 or more documentations, to pass his or her Exam, in proficency of the Profession. This untrained person might rather do bodily harm, do to their inefficiency and should not be able to do so, unless they are a Student, or a Professional.
