Im 5′7″ and 210 lbs. I don’t normally work out, and i am trying to get fit a little at a time. How many calories will i burn doing 30 minutes of yoga? I have been doing yoga for about 8 weeks, 5 times a week, and i have lost a little weight.

I have great ideas for a yoga clothing line, I’ve got the name, designs and business cards , now what? I am not a business person. Do I take my designs to a clothing factory and have them make me samples? Then take the samples I had made to yoga studios and clothing conventions to sell?

I’d like to lose some weight and also get alittle toned. I am planning on starting some cardio but also was interested in yoga. Is yoga a good work out? What does it mostly impact? How do i get started? Are there any workout videos or equipment you’d recommend? Thanks!

I am looking for a great video that will give me a starting point on yoga–as well as videos that will be more advanced. I am terribly shy so at the moment yoga classes are out of the question. Also if you have any information on belly dance, I’d love to hear about it also since I find it very interesting. Thanks!

I know there is a type for weight loss and such, and I was wondering what are all of the different styles of yoga and what do they do for the body?
All I know when it comes to terminology is hatha, and I’m not even sure what that does lol. I don’t know the terms so if someone could explain those too I’d appreciate it.
I’m really interested to know if any type of yoga can give outer (as well as inner) strength and stamina. If there is such a thing could you please tell me more?

I am currently enrolled in a training and certification program, and thought I’d ask some opinions. What do you like/dislike about teachers? In a general, eclectic session, do you place importance more on meditation/breathing or fitness? What are some bad habits you have seen before, and what did the best yoga teacher you ever had do that was so special?

I am taking a beginner’s yoga class at my college and I am finding it nearly impossible to get myself into a shoulder stand. I’ve been trying to practice at home to no avail. I’m a little more out of shape than I initially thought, because apparently I’m completely lacking core and upper body strength. Any suggestions to help me get into a shoulder stand without killing myself?

I just started yoga 3 days ago and I realize I am not very flexible and my arms are still not strong enough to support some positions that require all the weight of the body to go in the arms…I was wondering if with time it will improve and my body will become more flexible and therefore be able to do some of the hardest positions? How long does it take approximately if I practice every day for two hours….For how long should one practice in a day?

I’ve always had a problem with tension, for apparently no reason. Now that I work long days, by the time I get home it feels like everything shoulder up is just tight, especially my throat and forehead. An advil would do the trick but I don’t want to rely on that. Can anyone recommend some type of yoga, breathing technique, meditation, anything specific? Thanks.
