I got a perscription from a Chinese Medicine Doc today for skin issues, and to start she gave me a bunch of herbs to make a tea to drink twice a day. She told me how to brew it, but I have a question on how to drink it properly. There is alot of sediment once I strain it through a metal mesh strainer, should I drink the sediment, or next time should I strain it through cloth?

The person is 49 and has been having heavy bleeding for the past couple of months. Happened once before earlier in the year but then stopped, so no medicine was taken as it was thought to be over, but then it started again. Is taking iron tablets and has had coil fitted to no avail.
